Stendardo Attacks 'Inhuman' Lazio

The player is still owned by Lazio but on-loan at newly promoted Lecce.

Stendardo didn’t have the best of times at the Stadio Olimpico and he has attacked the club’s policies of leaving players out in the lurch.

The player's rant comes just days after Brescia's Roberto Baronio, who is on loan there from Lazio, accused the club of banishing him to rot on the bench and train in 40 degree temperatures during the summer.

“For two months me and some of my team mates had to live through inhuman conditions,” Stendardo told Radio Erre 2.

“I feel sorry for Mutarelli, Inzaghi and Berni who are still there and they have been abandoned totally by the club.

“We were made to train on our own and left out of the side. I am disappointed with the club because players should be protected. I think the club’s policies need to change as these things shouldn’t happen in future.”

The stopper, who spent several months on-loan at Juventus last term, will be hoping to impress with the Salentini this term.

Survival is the objective and Lecce will need all of Stendardo’s prowess if they are to escape the drop this term.
