Camoranesi To Renew Juve Contract

Juventus want to reward the hard work and loyalty of midfielder Camoranesi with an extension to his current contract at the club, which runs out in June 2010. The Argentinian-born right winger is expected to receive a one year extension, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2010/2011 season.

Camoranesi is one of the Juve players who stuck with the club when they were relegated to the second tier due to match-fixing charges, before helping the team to regain promotion to the top flight of Italian football by winning the Serie B championship.

The ex-Verona player has represented Italy in 39 games, scoring 4 goals. Camoranesi was an instrumental part of the Azzurri's 2006 World Cup winning squad and is still considered a top class attacking player at the age of 31. Known for his dribbling and accurate crossing, the midfielder is expected to put pen to paper shortly in order to officially recognise the new deal.
