Pizarro Confident Of Roma Double

The Giallorossi have been strengthening well this season and expectations are high in Trigoria. There is a real air of belief surrounding the club and the Chilean player believes this will be Roma’s year.

“We have all the right ingredients to do well this year in Serie A,” Pizarro told Il Corriere Dello Sport.

“I think that we can also go all the way in the Champions League.”

Pizarro also had a few words on Roma’s game on Sunday against Napoli and the fixture that awaits them in Sicily against Palermo in week two.

“Teams can always win or lose their first few games but I think Palermo will be really awkward for us,” added the midfielder.

“They never replaced Amauri but the have changed coach and this will give them something new.

“We have to do well against Palermo as we have to show that we can do well both at home and away.”

Roma didn’t get off to the perfect start that they hoped for on the weekend. A 1-1 draw with Napoli at the Olimpico wasn’t expected and the Giallorossi will be hoping they can bounceback against the Rosanero.

Pizarro has made a full recovery from injury and he is back in training for his side as he hopes to fight for a starting role.
