Giovinco Contract Extension Up In Smoke

The player’s agents met with Bianconeri directors late on Wednesday night in order to talk about making the playmaker’s future at the club more secure but it seems as if the talks broke down as neither party were able to agree on a new deal.

However, it’s not all bad news for Juventus fans. ANSA claims that another meeting between the club and Giovinco’s agents will take place again next week where a deal should be finalised.

Reports suggest that both the attacking midfielder and Juventus are keen on extending their marriage and thus it should be easy for both parties to reach a compromise.

The Bianconeri called their 21-year-old star back from Empoli where he spent last season on loan.

The Italian youngster is one of Europe’s hottest properties and the club are not looking to risk losing him to another top side.

Coach Claudio Ranieri and club president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli are big admirers of the pint-sized hit-man and they will do all they can to ensure he stays on at the club.

The Italian under-21 international has been outstanding and he came through the youth system at the Bianconeri.

Giovinco is keen on playing alongside Alessandro Del Piero who remains his childhood hero. Juve's priorities this season will be to extend the player's deal as well as challenge for the Scudetto and Champions League.
