Juventus Fans Divided On Buffon Sale

After the Arabian takeover at Manchester City, Juventus shot-stopper Gianluigi Buffon is one of many European football stars who have been put on the shopping list of the seemingly infinitely wealthy new owners. However, Buffon is a symbol of the Bianconeri and an idol to the fans, particularly when he accepted playing in Serie B when Juve were relegated in 2006, and that right after winning the World Cup with Italy.

Still, there seems to be an unexpected divisiveness among fans of the Old Lady regarding a possible sale of the goalkeeper. On the community website j1897.com, a survey was made and only 43% of the voters would categorically refuse any offer whatsoever for Buffon. Meanwhile, 17% would be available to negotiate about it, and more than 38% would accept an offer of 85 million euros instantly.

That means that 57%, more than half of the voters, do not consider the Italian international star unsellable at any condition.

However, opinions differ on different websites. On another one, VecchiaSignora.com, the fan community clearly state they are strongly against a sale of the player, and even requested the club make an official statement saying Buffon is unsellable.
