Doctor Warns Ronaldo About Diet

Will Ronaldo ever get back to playing football again? 'El Fenomeno' seems to think so, and to those who point out his admittedly excessive weight, he responds as follows.

"There's nothing strange going on, I haven't played for six months so it's normal I am overweight, but I've been a professional footballer for 16 years so I know what I'm doing," he said.

However, Dr. Runco, who has been following the player for most of his career, thinks he must lose weight before he can think about coming back.

"First he has to lose weight, then he can think about playing again, though I don't know when. From a physical standpoint he is fine, but first he must change the way he eats," the doctor warned.

A Brazilian newspaper recently reported what Ronaldo had for lunch a fast-food restaurant, even adding the amount of calories of each part of the meal: a fried onion (160 calories), a hamburger (360 calories), pork chops with barbecue sauce (480 calories), as well as more than one can of beer.

The two-time Golden Ball winner suffered a bad injury at the start of the year with Milan, who recently canceled his contract.
