The Serbian striker has been linked with a summer transfer to the Premier League all throughout this window. The 27-year-old was close to completing a deal with new-boys Stoke City, only for a last minute hitch to leave the deal in limbo.
However, Steve Bruce’s Wigan side have now been mooted as a possible destination for the ex-Red star Belgrade forward, whose career has stood still since reaching the Mestalla.
Zigic had a favourable goals to games ratio for both Red Star and previous club Racing Santander, but he has found it difficult to be among the goals with Los Che.
The player’s agent confirmed that Zigic is only interested in a transfer to the Premier League, and that he is currently assessing his options.
Milan Calasan told Sky Sports: "He is calm and now we need to evaluate the options and decide which is the best club."
