Advocaat: Fergie The World's Best

Dick Advocaat knows a thing or two about Scottish football - he managed Rangers for four years between 1998 and 2002. During that time span he won back-to-back Scottish League titles, back-to-back Scottish Cups, and a Scottish League Cup. Sir Alex Ferguson on the other hand spent eight years at Aberdeen, won a similar amount of domestic silverware, but also added a Uefa Cup Winners Cup, and a Uefa Super Cup to the Dons trophy cabinet, and this is not even mentioning his achievements at Manchester United. The Uefa Super Cup pits the previous season's Champions League victors (Manchester United) with the Uefa Cup winners (Zenit). The Old Trafford side have been there before, lifting the trophy and losing out once equally.Advocaat feels it will be a tricky encounter, as he rates the gritty Scot as the World's finest football manager."He's not just the top manager in Europe, he's top of the world. He's the one everyone looks up to," Advocaat is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying."You can't work at that level and stay with one club for so long if you do not have exceptional qualities." "I know Sir Alex but I haven't played against him, so I am looking forward to the game which I know will be very difficult," he concluded. The Zenit manager remained tight-lipped when questioned on whether Andrei Arshavin would feature on Friday.
