Pavlyuchenko In London?

Early reports suggest that Russian star striker Roman Pavlyuchenko could be kitting out for the lily whites as early as Sunday, as he is tying up the ends of his £15million move from Spartak Moscow. The forward will be sign for Tottenham Hotspur pending a medical.

The signature of the Russian international could spell the end of sulky Bulgarian Dimitar Berbatov, who has been pleading for a switch to Old Trafford for some time.

Juande Ramos' Spurs side have been distinctively thin up-top since the sale of Jermain Defoe in January to Portsmouth, the summer transfer of Robbie Keane to Liverpool, and the public sidelining of Berbatov due to his incorrect frame of mind. Darren Bent has been the only option thus far, and Ramos is keen to remedy that.
