Right full-back Oddo has been heavily linked with an exit from Milan in the past week or so as he is currently well down the Rossonero pecking order, behind both Daniele Bonera and new signing Gianluca Zambrotta.L’Equipe is just one of a host of publications, both in France and Italy, to claim that a deal has been struck which will see Oddo join Lyon on a one-year loan, with the option of making the move permanent next summer. The 32-year-old, who will be a replacement for the injured Francois Clerc, will undergo a medical at the Stade Gerland any time now, while Milan are expected to officially announce the transfer within the next few hours.Oddo had a miserable 2007/08 season with the Rossoneri. He was dreadfully poor in the first half of the campaign, before he had an upturn in fortunes at the beginning of 2008.Things then went downhill again due to injury, and he barely played in the final six weeks of the season, thus missing out on a place in Italy’s Euro 2008 squad. If confirmed, Oddo would be reunited with his World Cup 2006 team-mate Fabio Grosso, who plays on the opposite side of the defence for the seven-time consecutive French champions.
