Ferguson Reflects On Euro Draw

Sir Alex Ferguson is eager to repeat the success of last season and told his squad as they returned from pre-season training if they were content with a double, or if they wanted more trophies.

"It is a great challenge for us, " Ferguson is quoted by the Manchester Evening News as saying. "We have to progress from the group stage and to do that you need 10 points to qualify."

"The tournament really kicks off in February. That is when it gets exciting, the one-off knock-out stages," he said.

"I think we have a squad to challenge the best but you cannot think of yourselves as favourites when you see teams like AC Milan, Barcelona and Juventus."

"We will make sure we apply ourselves in the right way, then we will have a chance," he concluded.
