Saha Secures Everton Move

The deal, of which no details were released, had actually been agreed last week, but now the 30-year-old has now officially put pen-to-paper on a two-year contract after completing a routine medical.

When speaking of his move to Everton last week, Saha had asaid: "I had a brief talk with the Everton manager [David Moyes]. He has been very honest with me, and explained the way he wants to use me. It went smoothly."

"I am fit again," he added "I spent the whole pre-season with United without feeling any pain."

"I just need to play. That is what Alex Ferguson told me."

The Frenchman's departure means the only strikers Sir Alex Ferguson can rely upon are Carlos Tevez, Wayne Rooney, Manucho, and Frazier Campbell. Judging from Friday's performance against Zenit St Petersburg though, the type of forward they need most though is in the mould of wantaway Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov.
