Donadoni In For Hammers Job?

Reports suggest much-maligned Italy boss Roberto Donadoni has arrived in London to be interviewed for the vacant West Ham United job.

Alan Curbishley walked out of the hotseat earlier this week after tangling with the Irons' board over summer transfer dealings. The former Charlton man felt he didn't have full control over transfer strategy and, with the demanding Upton Park faithful on his back, decided to beat a hasty retreat.

Croatia boss Slaven Bilic is the favourite to take over, with Roberto Mancini, Didier Deschamps and former Hibernian boss John Collins also mentioned. Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has already ruled himself out.

However, Donadoni's arrival in the English capital has sent shockwaves around the Premier League.

The Don guided the Azzuri through a lacklustre Euro 2008 campaign, during which time he was roundly slammed over his team selection. Subsequently, he was sacked from his post by the Italian Football Federation.

Although he hasn't given any indication as to his next move in football, the West Ham job is an interesting proposition.
