Dimi Delighted With Dream United Move

Berbatov officially joined United yesterday in a £30.75million deal which sees Fraizer Campbell head to Spurs on a season-long loan.

The Bulgarian striker had been pushing for the move for several months, as he was desperate to leave White Hart Lane and return to the Champions League stage.

The 27-year-old is thrilled to have finally arrived at Old Trafford and hopes to enjoy a long and successful spell with the reigning champions of Europe.

"Joining Manchester United is a dream come true for me," Berbatov told United's official website. "I look forward to playing my part in helping this club win more honours in the years to come."

As the transfer window dragged toward its close, Sir Alex Ferguson intimated that he was doubtful the deal would go through given the fractious relationship between United and Tottenham.

Hence, the United boss is pleased by Berbatov's arrival and is confident he will perfectly complement Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez up front.

Ferguson said: "His style and ability will give the team a different dimension and I’m sure he will be a popular player with the fans."
