Tare Happy With New Role At Lazio

Just a few months after hanging up his boots, former striker Lazio and Bologna striker Igli Tare has already found a new occupation. He is the new sporting director of the Biancocelesti, and today he talked about this new challenge and Lazio's future.
"It's an important challenge for me," he said, "the most important thing is that Lazio have a long-term project for the future. I miss playing football, but with Lazio I had a great chance and I thank [president Claudio] Lotito for giving it to me."
The Albanian showed he has already grown into his new role as he spoke about the possible arrival of striker Erjon Bogdani.
"It's not true, I know him well and I want to underline that Lazio are evaluating using existing players for roles that might seem difficult to cover," he said.
On the Hernan Crespo option, Tare said: "As [coach Delio] Rossi said, he is a player of great value but he does not intend to leave Inter. We are counting on [Argentinean striker Mauro] Zarate, who has great technical qualities and can certainly grow."
On his new relationship with Rossi, he revealed: "The coach initially didn't think that I could cover this new role, but then our relationship improved with time."
