FULHAM
Mark Schwarzer: 7.0 - Will have looked at the fixture and expected to have a busy afternoon. Unfortunately for Arsenal he probably had a busier time against Hull City last week and a clean sheet was never really in doubt.
John Pantsil: 5.5 - Some ugly challenges on Eboue and Sagna could have got the former West Ham man in trouble but a lenient referee opted to keep his cards in his pocket.
Aaron Hughes: 7.0 – A decent performance restricted Arsenal to few chances and kept things tight at the back for Fulham.
Brede Hangeland: 7.5 - The giant defender scored the opener, his first goal in English football. However, was almost caught out moments later when Adebayor beat him but hit the post.
Toni Kallio: 6.5 - Fulham’s number 33 struggled against Walcott for pace yet it was the Arsenal man who was subbed first and he can be happy with his performance.
Simon Davies: 6.5 - Looked busy on the flank as always and caused problems. Hit a great opportunity into the stands when he could have doubled the home side’s lead.
Jimmy Bullard: 7.5 - Excellent corner set up the Fulham opener and his neat and tidy passing in midfield caused Arsenal problems all afternoon.
Danny Murphy: 7.5 - Alongside Bullard, the Fulham captain controlled the midfield. Volleyed one into the Thames in the first half and made some fine challenges before injury forced him off.
Zoltan Gera: 6.5 - Had a quiet game. At times he looked dangerous but was often wasteful in possession and a weak clearing header in the final minutes almost gifted Arsenal a decent chance for a last minute equaliser.
Bobby Zamora: 7.0 - Had several chances in the first half but his finishing was poor. Still, he caused Arsenal a problem with his movement but Fulham will want him to be sharper in front of goal.
Seol Ki-Hyeon: 7.0 - Improved as the game wore on. His passing and crossing were poor to start with but he looked a lot more effective in the second half and twice presented Zamora with opportunities.
Substitutions
Chris Baird: 7.0 - Replaced the injured Kallio and kept things tight at the back in the closing stages.
Clint Dempsey: 6.0 - Had a late chance on the break but lost possession when Fulham had a number of players in good positions.
Andranik Teymourian: 5.0 - A poor challenge gave a nervy Arsenal a chance with a late free kick, however van Persie hit the wall.
ARSENAL
Manuel Almunia: 7.0 - Had no chance with the goal and had little to do as most of Fulham’s chances flew over the bar.
Bacary Sagna: 6.5 - How Arsenal missed Sagna at the end of last season. Solid defending and some excellent crossing, quite possibly the Gunners' best player but there were few to chose from in truth.
Kolo Toure: 6.0 - Still looks as though he is lacking match fitness and was replaced by Song in the closing stages.
William Gallas: 5.0 - Should have done better at the corner from which Hangeland opened the scoring and almost let in Zamora to score in the second half. Not his best game in an Arsenal shirt.
Gael Clichy: 5.0 - An uncharacteristically poor game by the full back. Time and again Fulham found space down the Arsenal left. Looked strangely off colour.
Theo Walcott: 5.0 - The teenager looked subdued out on the right wing. Seemed reluctant to take on full back Kallio and was subbed after 65 mins.
Emmanuel Eboue: 4.5 - Played in central midfield due the absence of Fabregas but offered neither the bite or the adventure of the Spaniard.
Denilson: 4.5 - There is a place up for grabs in the Arsenal team with the departures of Flamini and Silva and with Diaby injured. Denilson doesn’t appear to be grabbing the opportunity with both hands though.
Samir Nasri: 5.0 - Struggled to build on last week’s match winning debut and simply couldn’t get involved in the game.
Emmanuel Adebayor: 6.0 - Put an early shot wide after nice ball from Van Persie and was unlucky to hit the post with a good header. Lacked service from his midfield and looked frustrated as the game wore on.
Robin Van Persie: 5.5 – Some nice balls through to Adebayor but his shooting, especially from free kicks, was awful.
Substitutions
Nicklas Bendtner: 5.0 - Replaced Walcott but did absolutely nothing.
Alex Song: 5.0 - Fired a late chance over but purely emphasised the lack of depth in the Arsenal squad.
