Reports in Italy claimed the Old Lady was ready to move and shake to arrange cover for the injured Giorgio Chiellini, Jorge Andrade, Christian Molinaro and Dario Knezevic. However, Pessotto insists there is no need for further reinforcements despite reports claiming the Bianconeri are eyeing several defenders including Napoli’s Maurizio Domizzi. “Do we need defenders? I don’t think so, it’s just paper talk,” said the former Juve stopper. “Domizzi to Juve? He’s a good player but if Claudio Ranieri said our squad is complete then fair enough.” It is clear that Juve have some big gaps which need to be covered in defence but it doesn’t seem like they will take a gamble on bringing in another stopper. Chiellini is likely to be out for six weeks, leaving Ranieri with big headaches as the season rapidly approaches. The Italian international suffered a twisted knee on Sunday.
