Di Vaio has been something of a journeyman in his career, notching up appearances for nine different teams. The 32-year-old only joined Genoa in January 2007 from Monaco, but his 18 months at the club have not been as successful as expected.Genoa’s signing this summer of Juventus’ Raffaele Palladino opened the door for Di Vaio to leave, and he has now taken this chance to join newly-promoted Bologna.Di Vaio will be presented to the media this afternoon at 16:30 CET, and he will be hoping to help the Emilia-Romagna outfit stay up this coming campaign.Bologna have been quite prominent in the summer transfer market so far, capturing the likes of Corinthians hardman Coelho, Sampdoria duo Cristian Zenoni and Sergio Volpi, and Lazio’s Gaby Mudingayi.
