Roma and Newcastle to fight over Malouda if Robinho arrives
Newcastle and Roma are preparing large bids for Florent Malouda if the expected arrival of Robinho at Stamford Bridge will make the player largely redundant. The English Daily Mail indicates that Newcastle have a large treasure chest for Kevin Keegan to make a team capable of challenging for a top six position in the Premiership. Keegan has said that he still expects more arrivals on top of the ones already arrived. The Italian Corriere dello Sport puts Roma in the driving seat as they search for a replacement for Amantino Mancini before the end of the transfer window.Malouda cost Chelsea €20million from Lyon last summer, and Chelsea will want to recoup that figure, and if Robinho arrives Malouda will drop down the pecking order at Chelsea's star-filled team, so watch out for a flurry of activity as soon as the Robinho move is confirmed.
