Ranieri: Our Transfer Market Is Closed

Giorgio Chiellini, David Trezeguet, Christian Molinaro, Jorge Andrade and Dario Knezevic have all been struck down but the Tinkerman insists there is no need for back up. “We feel fine and the squad is complete. Even last year we coped with injuries,” said Ranieri ahead of the Trofeo Moretti. “We had many injuries last year but we still managed to finish the season. I don’t think we need to return to the market at all.” Ranieri also had a few words on the friendly tournament which takes place on Thursday night and involves Milan and Napoli as well as the Old Lady. “We have no will for revenge and we are not scared either. We will go there to play well like we have done on other occasions,” added Ranieri. “We have to continue training and I am happy to be involved in the Trofeo Moretti. “These tournaments are a useful way of taking the team forwards.” The Bianconeri will be hoping to bounce back from their shock 4-1 defeat at the hands of Milan on Sunday.
