Ramos: I Decide Who Plays, Not Berba

Ramos insisted before the game that the 27-year-old was "not focused enough" to take the field.For the former CSKA Sofia star has been pining for a move to Manchester United, with whom he would return to the Champions League for the first team since leaving Bayer Leverkusen in 2006.Berbatov has publicly declared his desire to make the switch to Old Trafford and was recently phorographed signing a Red Devils shirt, much to the ire of Spurs fans.It has been suggested in the press that the silky striker pulled out of yesterday's clash at White Hart Lane in protest of the Lilywhites' reluctance to sell him to United.But Ramos dimissed such claims, insisting Berbatov had no say in whether or not he played."He hasn’t got any power," he told The Sun. "If he is in no condition to play the game he is not going to play - that is the same as any other player."He didn’t play because he wasn’t in the right condition - this is what he told me before the game when I spoke to him."It’s a situation that is very personal, there are players able to play under these circumstances and others whose head is not right.
