Maradona Set For New Role

Maradona’s son in law, Sergio Agüero, caused quite a stir on Tuesday when he celebrated his first of two goals against Brazil in the Olympic quarter finals by sucking on his thumb.
That gesture has become a universal celebration in football where players dedicate a goal to an expecting or newborn child by imitating a baby sucking on a pacifier. And it was that celebration that has gotten the world speculating if Agüero’s fiancé, Gianinna Maradona, Diego’s youngest daughter, is in fact pregnant.
If that celebration was not enough to confirm it, the Atlético Madrid starlet, had the couple’s names “Giani” and “Kun” inscribed on his side of his boots, has put an end to all speculation.
“Yes, I was doing the ‘pacifier’. All of you saw it,” he revealed during the post-match conference again the Seleção.
“I want to dedicate the goal to Gianinna and to all my family who are watching back home,” he added.
Maradona’s three children did not quite flourish into the football players their father was but should his grandchild, boy or girl, inherit the Maradona and Agüero genes, he or she could become the next big football star, even before being born.
