In my opinion Devilder with -1.5 sets handicap is the best bet of first round here at US Open.Devilder is an excelent player on clay,but also a decent player on hard where is 25-20 in his carrer.I saw his matches from Constanta challenger where he won after a final against Adrian Ungur.He has nice skills,decent serve,solide baseline play and good move on the court. From other hand,Andujar is a real clay courter,he is 130-88 in carrer but on hard he played only 10 matches,4 won and 6 lost. Head to head is 2-0 for Devilder.The frenchman won this year at Monza via Andujar`s ret. at 6-0 3-0 for Devilder and in Braunschweig he won in straight sets by 6-3 6-3.

Gil - Chardy 1 @ 2.18
Head to head is 2-0 in Chardy`s favour,he won this year both matches,one on Gil`s favorite surface at Roland Garros in straight sets and at Wimbledon on grass in 5 sets.Gil is my bet here,he is more experienced and is in a good form,won recently at Istanbul on hard by beating players like Stakhovsky,Muller and Alexander Peya,all in straight sets. Chardy made a good season on clay but he has problems on hard.At Segovia(first tournament for him on hard) he lost in quarter against Ivan Navarro and at Istanbul(tournament won by his opponent) he ret. in first round against Petrazzuolo.Gil is more solid,he has nice skills and can win this match.
