Dimitar Berbatov faces a furious backlash from Spurs supporters after he signed a Manchester United shirt.
The Bulgarian was pictured by the Sun newspaper signing the shirt at Sofia Airport.
Berbatov has been linked with a move to United all summer and could still sign before the end of the transfer deadline.
But this action is sure to infuriate fans – and the club who have already lodged an appeal with the FA over Manchester United's pursuit of the player.
One onlooker said: 'I was gobsmacked when he took the shirt and signed it.
'He didn't have any problems with it at all. 'If I was one of Berbatov's team-mates or a fan, I'd be furious. It is incredibly disrespectful — he may as well have kissed the United badge.'
